The National Automobile Dealers Association has launched a new online campaign to promote the benefits of local new auto dealerships for consumers, communities and manufacturers.
The MyDealership.org initiative includes a website and social media channels and features videos of real consumers and dealership staff voicing benefits of local dealerships in their own words, according to NADA.
"Local dealerships benefit consumers and local communities alike—through price competition that drives down prices, and good paying jobs that drive local economies," NADA board Chairman Mark Scarpelli said.
State and local dealership associations across the country will take up the initiative. The North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association plans to be the first state association to incorporate it into the group's outreach campaigns.
The initiative was launched as part of NADA's 100th Anniversary, which takes place this year.
